DSI Introduces New Security System for Mid-Size Applications

Designed Security Inc., an award-winning manufacturer of security systems for corporate, commercial, government and institutional markets, today announced the ES8500 Mid-Size Optical Turnstile.

Bastrop, Texas (PRWEB) December 3, 2009

Designed Security Inc., an award-winning manufacturer of security systems for corporate, commercial, government and institutional markets, today announced the ES8500 Mid-Size Optical Turnstile.

Designed for small to medium-sized lobbies and entryways, the ES8500 can handle a high volume of pedestrian traffic -- up to 30 people per minute per lane, company officials said. The new product takes the proven ES850 design and combines it with optical sensing technology found in the company’s highly-touted Entry Sentry.

“We’re extremely pleased with the features we’re able to offer our customers with this new product,” says Curtis Lamson, sales and marketing manager at DSI. “The ES8500 Mid-Size Optical Turnstile is an example of how DSI continues to innovate and bring compelling technology to the industry.”

Built at the company’s headquarters in Bastrop, Texas, the ES8500 includes sensors to ensure only one person for each authorized identification card can pass at a time, eliminating the “tailgating” security threat. The ES8500 complies with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) guidelines and can be styled to match any architectural setting while occupying a small amount of space.

DSI also offers door alarms, annunciators, pushbuttons, key switches, tailgate detection and mantrap systems. Visit http://www.dsigo.com or call 1-800-272-3555 for more information.
