Seattle Area Writer Makes Her Mark With Children's Book Young author Caryn A. Tate is already causing a buzz in the publishing community and with parents of young children with her new book "Sunny Bear’s Rainy Day". Renton, WA (PRWEB) January 11, 2006 -- Young author Caryn A. Tate is already causing a buzz in the publishing community and with parents of young children with her new book "Sunny Bear’s Rainy Day."
The book began an advanced release just prior to Christmas, and is now available to order at most major and fine book retailers as well as on-line.
The book centers on Sunny Bear. A glum little bear who wanders the forest, depressed because she feels like she can’t do anything and is down on herself. Along the way she meets up with friends, and makes new ones constantly running into other woodland creatures who need her help. Eventually Sunny realizes that she can do lots of things and that her help is really important to those around her.
The book is a first for the author, and spreads a very important and helpful message to parents and children. The subject matter also makes it the perfect tool for youth counselors and others who deal with troubled youth.
The book is beautifully illustrated by Canadian comic book artist Noel Tuazon, and is the first book is a series planned by the author.
The author herself will be on hand for a book store signing on Saturday January 21st from 1-3pm at The Comic Den at 234 Wells Ave. S., Renton, Washington 425-235-1663. At that time fans and interested readers can come and buy or check out the book. The author will be on hand to meet and greet answer questions and autograph books.
The publisher, Open Book Press, is already hailing this book as a tremendous success with more to surely follow.
