Cathi Curen, a leader in the movement towards raising happy, healthy, self-reliant and emotionally intelligent children presents: "Conscious Child Care Concepts; Patterns for Productive Living."

Los Angeles, February 7, 2002 - Cathi Curen, author and motivational speaker, based in Palos Verdes, California partners with CSUDH on an exciting and innovative seminar series. The "3C Mentoring Seminar" program will provide a network of support for raising the next generation. Each segment will offer progressive practical methods for parents and those who work with children, along with valuable skills to nurture stability in an ever-changing environment. Seminars will run February 28, March 21, and April 18, 2002, from 6-8p.m. PST.

These live interactive internet broadcasts will feature interviews with "Mrs. Mamie Brown's Baby Boy," Les Brown, single father, foster child, and world renowned motivational speaker; Deborah Peters, M.PRAC.;NLP, peak performance coach; and Dr. Elizabeth Johnston Taylor, associate professor of nursing at Loma Linda College, Loma Linda, California and author of "Spiritual Care."

California State University Dominguez Hills President James E. Lyons encourages parents to, "Sieze the day. Listen to youth, and start changing things in the home." To sustain the President's message, these exclusive broadcasts will offer the convenience of reaching into the homes of those who really need and want to tune-in to the knowledge, but are already limited with their family time.

"Knowledge and life experience are two sides of the coin," says Curen, a single mother of two teenagers. Cathi's passion to teach the methods that drive change come from her own demanding experience of having to emotionally mature, and heal herself, in order to become the parent she wanted to be.

Participants will have the opportunity to interact with the facilitator, and others world wide who want to positively impact the lives of our children. The course is directed to the parent, foster parent, grandparent, infant/child caregiver, nurse, and social worker; those who relate with families of infants and preschool children. To register contact CSUDH at (310) 243-3741. Seminars are $20.00 each or $50.00 for all three. Advance registration is required one week prior to broadcast date.
