Rice Alliance invites Elex Technologies to present its innovative technology at the yearly Technology Innovation Forum.

(ElexTek), http://elextek.com, has been selected by the Rice Alliance, http://alliance.rice.edu, as one of only six companies chosen from a field of sixty to showcase their technologies today at the Second Annual Information Technology Venture Forum. The forum, held annually at Rice University’s Jones School in Houston, provides an opportunity for about 350 investors, industry leaders, mentors, and service providers to be briefed on emerging, early-stage information technology-related companies.

In response to their presentations, each selected innovator is offered feedback from a panel of venture capital investors at the end of the daylong event. The ElexTek presentation, the only one to focus on Internet software this year, highlights the firm’s leading edge use of artificial neural networks in its software products. The use of such technology allows the company’s software to be continually trained or improved in performance.

The company’s flagship product, Photo No-No! , utilizes the technology to protect children and families from adult images on the Internet.
