KIT Solutions Awarded Expansion of Federal Government Contract

Information technology firm continues growth with $1.2 million in additional tasks

KIT Solutions, a Pittsburgh-based provider of real-time, data-driven decision support services for human services organizations, has been awarded an expansion to its first federal government contract.

Under a five-year, Data Information Technology Infrastructure Contract (DITIC), KIT is developing and supporting Web-based national data management and decision support for the federal Center for Substance Prevention (CSAP), which provides national leadership in the development of policies, programs and services to prevent the onset of illegal drug, underage alcohol, and tobacco use.

KIT's $1.2 million contract expansion includes the updating and enhancement of the federal Minimum Data System (MDS), used to monitor and track prevention activities at the federal, state and local levels, and the development of a real-time reporting system to accompany the Web-based data management services already provided for CSAP. KIT will also integrate the Training and Technical Assistance Request Tracker System into the federal Prevention Management Reporting and Training System, and enhance online management and evaluation tools.
