Blue Starr Design is Stationery With Heart Making its long anticipated web debut; Blue Starr Design has a mind for business and a heart that keeps pumping out the yummiest stationery online. (PRWEB) January 17, 2006 -- Consumers can find it in over 50 stores nation wide including a large stationery website, FineStationery.com. But just recently, Blue Starr Design opened their own online shop with customizing services as well as lovely boxed sets ready to purchase.
Owner LaVonne Czech was like many women of the new millennium, plugging away at her day job while pining for that something. That little something came to fruition one day in August 2003 when she was laid off. This artist at heart who had founded Blue Starr Design in 2002 as a side project, was about to become a stationer by trade. “The day I lost my job, I went into action – I started a new job. Blue Starr Design was now my number one focus. Aside from building my home at the same time, I started this business – call me crazy but determined," recalls owner and designer, LaVonne Czech.
A graduate of Loyola University with a degree in design, Czech was working full time in corporate America as a graphic designer. From her home just outside of Chicago she would make notes for friends and family, birth announcements and holiday cards. In her heart she knew that she would follow her dreams, and now Blue Starr Design carries some of the most sought after custom designs in the world of paper. It all started with a portfolio of birth announcements, invitations, and thank you cards that Czech took around to local paper boutiques. Right away, five shops started carrying her line. But it was the National Stationery Show in May of 2004 that was the turning point for Blue Starr. Her unique flair and classic styles were a hit, and just over a year later she is saturating the market. Pioneering a trend in custom, high style photo cards, Blue Starr Design at http://BlueStarrDesign.com also offers boxed note card sets including Valentine’s Day cards perfect for sending to loved ones.
A recent boom in the stationery market has retailers racing to carry the best in note cards, invitations and announcements. What was once a dying art in communication has come back as a style statement, but more importantly a sign of class and dignity. Note writing, proper invites and announcing your new bundle of joy or happy engagement will live on with stationers like Blue Starr Design in the lead. Designer LaVonne Czech says of her line, “These products are what I like to call 'messages' or keepsakes for those who receive them – I hope they can touch, move and inspire them – I know they do for me."
As a woman owned business, it is important for Blue Starr Design to make its imprint on the web. An increasing number of women and mothers are living their dreams, doing what they love and not looking back. Charging forward, LaVonne Czech wants to be a role model for her small children Estelle and Ean, but also for womankind. “Although it can be challenging at times, balancing all the facets of being a mother and entrepreneur, I have to say that I wouldn’t want it any other way,” she says.
Look for Blue Starr Design on the shelves of your local stationery shop and visit Blue Starr Design online, you will fall in love instantly.
