Quezon City, Philippines (PRWEB) January 27, 2006 - Thirty five (35) paintings of Abstract Artist Zammerly, from the Silver and Gold Series and, The Gift Series will be exhibited in a gallery to the public, for the first time. All paintings are done in Mixed Media, on paper and canvass, painted brushless. She started painting in 1999. She was invited to paint the resort town of Kusadasi, Turkey in 2001. She was in haitus as an artist for three years and went back to painting landscapes, while she was still in Dubai, later focusing on abtracts. Since exhibiting her paintings online in December 2004, Zammerly has received several invitations from galleries abroad to exhibit in London, Montreal, Santa Barbara, CA, Greece and New York. However, she felt that it would be great to have her first gallery exhibition in her own country. Having this in mind, she decided to go back to the Philippines in April 2005. She also had the strong calling for becoming a full time painter and took that leap of faith, three months after she went back home. Recently, Zammerly launched her online twin galleries, The Zammerly Online Art Gallery II and The Mixed Media Art Gallery. Looking back, she is glad about how her career as an artist has been unfolding. She's now ready to pursue international exhibitions, now that her wish of exhibiting back home has been granted. She thanks her partner, for his support and faith in her art, her kids for their cooperation by giving her space and time when she needed it. She also wishes to thank the owner and administrator of the The Triumph Gallery, Ms. Gigi Lim, and her assistant, Mr. Solomon Lalo, for making this exhibition possible. About the artist
In 1993, She recorded an album of ten songs. She was a professional singer until the time she left for Turkey, where in 2001, she was invited to paint the resort city of KUSADASI by the Turkish Travel Association (KUTAV and TURSAB). Statement of the artist.
As a painter, I feel I am a conduit for the paintings. They just flow through me. By such, I am able to capture that expression at that given moment and put it into form on either a canvass or special paper even without forethought. I never know how a painting will finally come up. It really has a life of its own which makes it truly unique and original! I seldom name a painting of mine. I just put a serial number to it, because I want you whoever owns a Zammerly painting to name it instead, according to how you feel and what you think about the painting. Each painting talks to us in a very personal way. This is why I want you to name the painting for yourself. I hope you like my work and if so, I hope that my paintings find their home in yours." # # #
