Alliance Group Entertainment Offers Continued Support To Director Geo Santini

LOS ANGELES, CA (PRWEB) January 23, 2006 -- Due to the success of his last project, “Partners,” — a film-short that debuted positively at film festivals and was picked up by a major studio to be turned into a feature film — Alliance Group Entertainment will continue to support Geo Santini by offering him an opportunity to direct their latest film venture, “Locker 541.”

Geo Santini’s strategy has been to first create film shorts, giving movie studios the opportunity to get a taste of what a full-length feature would resemble. With “Partners,” Santini was able to garner the interest of many Film Industry top-level executives, causing a bidding war over who would receive the rights to produce the film. Ultimately, Santini chose the studio that would give him the highest amount of creative control and he aligned himself with a team of proven producers.

Santini’s latest short, “Locker 541” is a highly intelligent and character driven action piece about a pair of super-sophisticated but small-time con men who find themselves drawn into an international scandal that reaches to the highest levels of business and politics. Only in the editing stages, the short is already being praised as a hip, slick, modern day version of “The Sting.”

When asked what inspired him to create “Locker 541,” Santini explained, "I wanted to do something completely different for my second film. I read a series of short form scripts, but nothing caught my attention, so I decided to use the same formula that I used in my first short film.

Teaming up with writer R. Ellis Frazier, I took his feature film script, cut it down to 30 pages, and shot it as a short. I admit, it was a little ambitious, but I wanted to create a short film with a full story, a series of locations, and an ensemble cast. We had 5 days to shoot 13 locations, and a minimum amount of resources, but we made it work.”

The “Locker 541” film short drew upon the talents of many established actors, including Robert Miano (“Donnie Brasco”) and Gary Daniels (“Submerged,” “Witness to a Kill”). Santini hopes to catch the attention of Industry insiders, and cause a studio bidding war similar to the negotiations for “Partners.”

Additionally, Geo has also teamed up with Alliance Group Entertainment to develop a high-end production company that caters to clients in need of cutting-edge production work for commercials, music videos, and more.

Geo Santini’s passion for film and music led him to a career as a Director at an early age. During his sophomore year of college, Santini directed his first music video—and from that moment on, the young Director has been extremely busy working with major studios including, Arista, Universal Music Group, and Motown to create memorable music videos for top recording artists. Santini recently relocated to Los Angeles, where he is successfully pursuing a film career.
