-When his friends tell Raj Basak that he's a computer geek he smiles and nods in agreement. Surprisingly he is proud of this title. "I've always been the computer guy in my family and among my friends. My first computer was a Commodore 64 and I was instantly in love with computers," says Raj, reminiscing about how his interest in computers developed. "It is amazing to see how computers have grown since then."

Over the year’s family members and friends called Raj whenever they had a computer related question or problem, “I realized there are so many people who need help with basic computer questions. Some people didn’t even know what computer system to buy. I saw a big need in this service.”

The 25-year-old Raj is a Rutgers University Business School graduate with a BS in Finance. Raj wanted to start a business where he could combine his love of computers and his passion for teaching into a practical business. That is why he has started a new company called At Home Computer Training Services which provides personal tutoring sessions on any topic relating to computers - from how to use the Internet, to video conferencing, and the new popular digital photography craze. Raj also has encountered many people who need advice on choosing the right high tech equipment such as digital cameras or scanners. He provides this for free.

The core strength of At Home Computer Training Services is that the lessons are given at your home or business at the pace you feel comfortable learning. Raj usually finds that people do not enjoy learning in the typical classroom setting where there is one teacher and 20 students. Small companies love my service, Raj said, “We are able to teach them quickly and inexpensively at their place of business.”

At Home Computer Training Services currently serves customers in NJ but soon plans to expand to PA, NY, CT, and MA. At Home Computer Training Services uses trainers to teach their clients and Raj plans to have over 100 trainers in the near future covering his territories.
