Central Connecticut State University Presents 'Paul Taylor: Taylor 2' February 19, 2006

On Sunday, February 19, Central Connecticut State University will present “Paul Taylor: Taylor 2,” a modern dance troupe which performs the works of the acclaimed choreographer Paul Taylor, at 3:00 p.m. in Welte Auditorium on the University campus.

New Britain, CT (PRWEB) February 1, 2006 -- On Sunday, February 19, Central Connecticut State University will present “Paul Taylor: Taylor 2,” a modern dance troupe which performs the works of the acclaimed choreographer Paul Taylor, at 3:00 p.m. in Welte Auditorium on the University campus. General admission tickets for the performance are $20.00; and $10.00 for students, seniors, and alumni. To purchase tickets, call Centix at (860) 832-1989. A Master Dance Class will also be held on that day, at 11:00 a.m., in Welte.

Paul Taylor created Taylor 2 in 1993 based on the model of the company he established in 1954; a six-member troupe that could perform his work in virtually any venue. Taylor 2 has been hailed as a world-class company by critics and audiences on four continents. By bringing Taylor dances to large cities and small towns throughout the world, Taylor 2 has reclaimed the pioneer spirit that characterized Mr. Taylor’s touring from its inception of the Paul Taylor Dance Company.
