Mokena, IL (PRWEB) February 9, 2006 -- Video portal EVTV1 announced the licensing of World Cup footage from 1954 through 2002. Overviews of every finals match from 1954 to the last one played will be available for free on the website. CEO Jaffer Ali said, “With the World Cup approaching in a few months, there will be heightened interest in this worldwide event. We are extremely pleased to have the exclusive clip rights to each years’ finals match. For those too young to remember the great Pele, this will give them an opportunity to experience the greatest soccer player of all time.”

The World Cup video clips will first be offered in English. Spanish and Portuguese versions have been cut, but will not initially be available. In addition to having the clips available on the video portal EVTV1, the clips will also be available through their syndication arm, Vidsense™. EVTV1’s VP of Content Distribution, Tom Zegar said,

“We expect more than 200 websites to accept our Vidsense™ player on their sites just to get the streamed World Cup video content. The websites will get great World Cup content and we actually share revenues with each site. Having quality like the World Cup finals makes my job of recruiting websites to carry our Vidsense™ player a lot easier.”

EVTV1 has twenty two content channels of which seventy percent is exclusive to EVTV1. Its programming philosophy is to have something for everyone, not just clips aimed at twenty-something males. The most recent channel was added last week; The Black History Channel to coincide with Black History month.
