Wage Survey Results for Nursing Jobs in Senior Care Facilities Announced

Results of a national wage survey for senior care facilities conducted by Scottsdale-based WageWatch, Inc., the leading online compensation and benefits survey company, reveal that a Nursing Home Administrator can expect to earn $77,300 annual salary on average and as much as $110,000 per year depending on the size and location of the facility.

Results of a national wage survey for senior care facilities conducted by Scottsdale-based WageWatch, Inc., the leading online compensation and benefits survey company, reveal that a Nursing Home Administrator can expect to earn $77,300 annual salary on average and as much as $110,000 per year depending on the size and location of the facility.

A Registered Nurse’s wage averages $50,100 nationwide, and a Licensed Practical Nurse earns $38,500 on average. Wage levels for both these jobs can vary significantly based on the location. For example, a Licensed Practical Nurse in the Southeast will earn on average $33,800, while in the Northeast the same job will pay $40,800.

The wage for a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), often considered a feeder job into the professional field of nursing, averages $21,500 annually nationally, with higher averages in the Northeast and Mountain states, and lower averages in the Southeast and Central regions.
