Borst Landscape & Design Honored for Excellence in Commercial and Residential Design and Workmanship

The New Jersey Nursery & Landscape Association (NJNLA) has recognized Borst with the “Award of Excellence” in the category of residential landscape design for a Mediterranean-style home that was created to highlight the architecture and provide a transition between the indoor and outdoor spaces of this Ho-Ho-Kus, N.J. residence. The NJNLA also recognized the firm in the commercial category for its design of an amphitheatre and garden at Temple Emanuel in Woodcliff Lake, N.J. “The projects were honored for their quality of design and workmanship, as well as the thoughtful use of plant material, attention to detail and creative use of space,” according to Jody Shilan, the landscape designer of both projects.

In a second awards competition, the New Jersey Landscape Contractors Association (NJLCA) recognized Borst for the same two projects with Landscape Achievement Awards, honoring the Temple Emanuel execution with the Commercial Design/Build over $150,000 Merit Award and the Ho-Ho-Kus project with the Residential Design/Build over $100,000 Merit Award.
