QUIKRETE Corrals Rescued Horses on “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition”

Concrete donated to aid in Texas Animal Rescue Shelter’s transformation.

Atlanta, GA (PRWEB) February 15, 2006 -- The QUIKRETE® Companies supplied nearly 9,000-pounds of professional grade concrete used to set corral posts in the transformation of a Washington, Texas family-run animal rescue shelter and ranch-style home on ABC’s home-makeover reality show “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition.” The expansion of the shelter and renovation of the Houston-area home premiered on Sunday, January 29.

One hundred and ten 80-pound bags of QUIKRETE® Concrete Mix were used in the setting of posts for two corrals to house 15 rescued horses on the property, including horses taken in after left homeless in the wake of Hurricanes Katrina and Rita. QUIKRETE® Concrete Mix consists of a uniformly blended, property proportioned mixture of stone, gravel, sand, Portland cement ideal for all types of general concrete application.
