(PRWEB) February 15, 2006 -- Just two months after opening their online iPod® video community, iVideoBlast has enhanced its library to over 40 different animation and TV shows, 30+ movies and more than 300 video podcasts in 140+ categories. iVideoBlast has sought out opportunities to aggregate the best video content into their community rather than building it all from scratch.
The partnership with LinkShare.com adds iTunes Music Store hit shows like “The Office”, “Lost”, “Battlestar Galactica” and “Law & Order”. The ever growing iVideoBlast library now offers 1000’s of videos for viewing on a computer or iPod®.
The company plans to continue building their video library through partnerships with video content providers as well as a publishing program for their members. According to co-founders Scott Britner and Justin Thorn the company’s mission is to become the largest community of iPod video enthusiasts and the highest quality publishing platform for iPod video content.
The initial iVideoBlast video content consisted of classic animation, TV shows and movies like “Looney Tunes”, “Popeye”, “Andy Griffith”, “Beverly Hillbillies” and “Night of the Living Dead”. The addition of the video podcast directory added internet favorites like “Rocketboom”, “Channel Federator”, “Diggnation” along with standard household names like “NASA”, “ABC World News” and “Super Bowl 2006 Commercials”. The partnership with LinkShare.com adds valuable shows including “Desperate Housewives”, “Surface”, “Monk”, and “Saturday Night Live”.
Customers can download their favorite shows, including current shows the day after they air on TV, and watch them on their computer or iPod. iVideoBlast content ranges from free to $1.99 depending on the content and distribution partner who supplies it. “Some of the free video podcasts in our library are so great they’ve taken the place of traditional television for some of our members,” adds co-founder, Justin Thorn.
“We’re thrilled by the new partnerships we’ve developed to expand the iVideoBlast video library from a few hundred videos when we launched to several thousand just two months later,” said Scott Britner, iVideoBlast’s co-founder. “In our first two months we’ve reached more than 17,000 people in over 100 countries around the world and we’re excited to see our community start to come alive.”
