(PRWEB) February 20, 2006 -- InsideOutTravel Magazine is, once again, uniting travel enthusiasts at a Travelers Happy Hour on March 20, 2006 in San Francisco. As part of the celebration, they’re hosting their third annual photo contest. Alex Robinson, the budget travel magazine's photo editor, chose "Wonders of the World" as this contest's theme.

"Our readers are real adventurers, and we know that they've seen some amazing sights on recent trips," InsideOut Travel's Editor Helene Goupil said. "With this contest, we want to give our readers a chance to show some of the things that have filled them with wonder. After all, that's what traveling is about, right?"

Goupil says that budget travelers interact more directly with the real people, sights, and sounds of a place. "They are really open to the wonder-inspiring—good and bad—things that travelers who go with all-inclusive packages shield themselves from."

Robinson says that he is looking for photos of extraordinary people, places, or things.

"On every trip, there’s that person that somehow always comes up in your thoughts, or a place that speaks to you somehow. People usually snap a picture of whatever that special thing is, and we want to gather all of these pictures in one place and share them."

The best pictures will be shown in a slide show at InsideOut Travel Magazine's Travelers Happy Hour on March 20, 2006 at EZ5 in San Francisco, and winners will be announced in their e-mail newsletter, on the website, and in their blog at: blog.insideoutmag.com/outabout.

InsideOut Travel Magazine is famous for bringing together Bay Area travelers at these happy hours. Travel buddies have been made, and people often compare notes on where they’re going or where they’ve been.

"That’s why we’re strictly an online magazine," say Goupil. "We explored going into print, but honestly, we’d spend more time dealing with change of address forms from our highly mobile readers than we would actually putting the magazine together."

Anyone can participate in this photo contest, simply follow the guidelines below:

- JPG format only.

- Size should be 1,000 pixels on the longest side.

- One photo per e-mail, and a limit of five pictures per participant.

- Include when and where you took the picture.

- Be sure to include your full name, mailing address and phone number.

- Please don’t superimpose text on the photo with copyright information, etc. You retain all your rights, but we’ll include the photographer’s name in a standardized way.

- Send photos by March 15, 2006.
