HCG Diet Direct Comments on Weight and Mental Health Studies

HCG Diet Direct comments on weight and mental health.

Phoenix, AZ (Vocus) January 21, 2010

HCG Diet Direct comments on weight and mental health. While public perception continues to blame overweight and obese issues on the presence of mental health issues, studies show differently. The American Psychiatric Association does not see obesity as a psychiatric disorder. The majority of reputable studies on the subject do not indicate a clear link between weight and an individual’s mental health.

Harvard Health Publications reviewed 16 studies and found that averaging the results of the studies left them with no conclusive evidence of mental health as a determining factor or cause of obesity.

Jenny Boynton of HCG Diet Direct suggests, “There are always exceptions to every rule. There are going to be some in the group of overweight or obese individuals whose problems could stem from depression, emotions or excessive stress. But for the most part the problem is related to lifestyle in the modern society.”

Some exceptions to the rule include symptoms of depression in overweight women (but not men), individuals who resort to “comfort food” in response to periods of high stress or anxiety, certain types of depression that typically includes lethargy and over eating as symptoms, etc.

HCG Diet Direct offers homeopathic HCG weight loss products, tools and supplements for weight loss.
