Personal Running Trainer.com Releases Marathon Training Program on iTunes

New training program completes the lineup of running training programs from the maker of the popular "8 Weeks to 5k Training Program" used by runners worldwide.

Chesterfield, VA (PRWEB) January 25, 2010

Training for a marathon? The maker of popular running training programs, Personal Running Trainer.com, recently released a new program for the marathon distance in the iTunes music store.

Like the other programs from Personal Running Trainer.com, the "16 Weeks to Marathon Training Program," is in an audio format that is set to music with voice-over coaching instructions. Users download the training program to an iPod or other MP3 player and listen while they run.

Each week of the program contains 3-4 training days separated by rest or cross-training days. Some days focus on speed training, some focus on developing stamina, others focus on pace. Each training day begins with a warm-up and ends with a cool-down. There are tips on stretching and coaching instructions from time-to-time throughout the workout to let listeners know when to run, when to rest, and when to change pace. The background music has a beat that coincides with the tempo of the run.

The new program is set to follow in the footsteps of Personal Running Trainer.com's other programs which have sold over 100,000 units since 2007. The unique programs are sold online by music retailers like iTunes and AmazonMP3. One runner from the U.S. is quoted on the company's website as saying, "It's the best thing that has happened to my workout!"

Other programs available from Personal Running Trainer.com include the "4 Weeks to 1 Mile Training Program," "8 Weeks to 5k Training Program," "8 Weeks to 10k Training Program," and "10 Weeks to Half-Marathon Training Program." Visit http://www.personalrunningtrainer.com to learn more.
