Announces Results of Ninth Annual Client Employee Online Enrollment Satisfaction Survey For the ninth consecutive year, Benefit Software's Fringe Facts® Online earns consistently high marks as an easy-to use decision-support tool that improves employee satisfaction with their benefits. Santa Barbara, CA (PRWEB) January 26, 2010 Benefit Software Inc., (http://www.bsiweb.com), a leading Software as a Service (SaaS) provider of online employee benefits enrollment and communication solutions, today announces the results of its 2010 client/employee satisfaction survey. The survey reveals that more than 90 percent of employees polled give Fringe Facts Online high marks as an easy-to-use tool that enables them to make consistently sound, informed decisions regarding their benefit elections. Employee satisfaction surveys are an integral part of the Fringe Facts Online service and employers use survey results to improve their employees' online enrollment experience. Benefit Software compiles responses annually. Results from this year's ninth annual survey include:
The role of decision support tools are increasingly important as plans have become more complex and employers have given employees more responsibility in selecting options that best meet their needs. According to findings from Towers Watson's Annual Enrollment 2010 Flash Survey, getting employees to understand new plan features was the biggest challenge employers faced. To address the challenge, nearly half of employers surveyed (45 percent) offered online decision-support tools to assist employees with their decisions, and three-quarters (74 percent) believe employees altered their plan decisions based on the use of these tools. "Our clients are pleased that employees continue to give Fringe Facts Online high marks for ease of use and decision support," says William Smith, Vice President of Sales at Benefit Software. "Starting in 2009, some of our larger clients asked us to drill down further into their survey results. We started to analyze satisfaction by gender, years of service, age, salary, and employee status. We also measured how these population segments utilized online resources and rated benefit options. These larger clients have seen statistically significant differences in responses in areas such as overall satisfaction and web site resource utilization. The good news for all our Fringe Facts Online clients is that they can customize how different employee segments interact with the web site to improve utilization and satisfaction. For our clients, the benefit of having a robust online enrollment solution can be seen in increased benefit utilization, increased utilization of online resources, and overall employee satisfaction--which, in turn, positively affects productivity and retention." Employers can also utilize Fringe Facts Online's built-in survey module to test the effectiveness of strategic or tactical goals such as communications efficacy, recent changes in benefits, and even to validate ROI. For instance, a large university client used the survey to ask employees to rate benefit importance on a scale of 1 to 10. The university was then able to compare employee feedback to national ratings, as well as measure ratings against satisfaction.
