EagleTel Unveils New SmartMail Fax 2.0 Service A pioneer in the fax-to-email service bureau industry, EagleTel upgrades its offering to include a backup web interface for viewing and saving faxes in a PDF Format and other new features. Sarasota, FL (PRWEB) March 3, 2006 -- EagleTel recently announced major enhancements to its highly acclaimed SmartMail Fax fax-to-email service.
EagleTel's SmartMail Fax service provides a subscriber with their own fax number--either a local Florida number or a toll free number--which accepts faxes and then converts them into the convenient Adobe PDF format and delivers them to the subscriber by email. Subscribers can also "port" telephone numbers to SmartMail fax from other carriers so they won't have to change their fax numbers when they subscribe. SmartMail Fax streamlines the flow of information by providing each staff member in an organization with their own fax number, which sends faxes directly to their email. This saves distribution time, eliminates busy signals, keeps faxes confidential, and prevents received faxes from being lost in transit from the office fax machine to the intended recipient.
The new version of the service eliminates delivery delays that previously occurred when the system was overloaded with incoming faxes, especially "junk faxes". Using an entirely new software system designed custom for EagleTel, SmartMail Fax 2.0 can detect large batches of junk faxes and delete them during periods of high traffic.
Also added in SmartMail Fax 2.0 is a new web interface where subscribers and IT administrators can view, print, and save faxes to any of their company's SmartMail Fax subscribers for 90 days after a fax is received. This feature allows for quick and easy retrieval in case of an email outage, misplaced email, or vacationing staff member.
EagleTel has also released its Windows Client software for SmartMail Fax 2.0, which enables users to send faxes directly from their Windows computer without any telephone lines. This high-capacity fax sending capability is used by EagleTel subscribers for sending any size fax directly from a PC, and also has an easy to use large volume fax blast capability for subscribers that need to send large groups of faxes all at once. When sending outbound faxes, EagleTel sends delivery confirmation or failure notice back to the subscriber via email when the fax transmission is completed or fails all retry attempts.
Headquartered in Sarasota, Florida, EagleTel provides its exclusive SmartMail Fax and SmartMail Voice products to subscribers nationwide. EagleTel is also a local and long distance telephone service provider to commercial and residential subscribers in West and Central Florida. EagleTel can be reached at 877-83-EAGLE or on the web at http://www.eagletel.us.
