(PRWEB) March 2, 2006 -- The highlight of the 3rd Edition of the Next Generation Entrepreneur Forum (NGEF) , held in collaboration with the prestigious International University of Monaco (IUM), will be the Business Plan Competition, where entrepreneurs will go head to head in front of prominent business leaders vying for €55,000 of investment funding and the chance to turn their business ideas into reality.
19 teams representing prestigious universities like University of Michigan (the USA), Farleigh Dickinson (GB), Bocconi University (ITA) - London School of Economics (GB), North Carolina State (the USA) - University of Nicolaus Copernicus (Poland) - University of Oxford (GB) and Kings College, London (GB) will present their business plans to a panel of judges.
The competition provides contestants with the opportunity to meet investors and partners, secure resources, and get media exposure to help turn dreams into realities. An Investment Fund has been put together to make this possible. The fund is made up of these 11 venture capitalists: Barend Van de Vorm (HOL), John McLean (GB), Vivian Scott (GB), James Walfenzao (ALL), John Walton (GB), William Laurent (FRA), Massimo Cagna (ITA), Dianna Scott (GB), Marc Davanzo (ITA), and Tony Izelaar (ALL).
NGEF President Hinatea Tama says this year’s competition should be a good one. The Forum’s business plan competition has spawned some successful business plans, and participants have gone on to implement their plans and start successful enterprises.
Examples include last years top finishers Marie-Louise & Antonia Mortensen, who developed the successful UK based Nail Addict; and the ambitious project by IUM Executive MBA representative and world class athlete Tracy Mattes, who developed a plan to create an International Olympic Training Center in the Principality of Monaco. These young entrepreneurs lead by example showing the hard work, dedication and perseverance it takes to be successful in the business world.
