Cheney Suffers Complications From Gout Medication

This article warns of potential dangers that are common with perscription gout medication, as the vice president has just undergone serious health risks.

Memphis, TN (PRWEB) March 4, 2006 -- In January, Vice President Dick Cheney was rushed to the hospital, suffering shortness of breath, a result of fluid retention in his lungs. The fluid in his lungs was caused by an anti-inflammatory prescription that Cheney was taking for gout in his foot, thenewstribune.com reported. These anti-inflammatory pills are a common treatment for gout, though they often have strong side effects.

There are many treatments available to people suffering from gout, such as pain relievers, non steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, and prescriptions, such as Prednisone. Unfortunately most medicines that are prescribed to treat this condition are often too severe. The side effects of these treatments can often leave sufferers of gout feeling worse than before.

Jim Mitchell from Tulsa, Okla. originally took prescription medications to treat the gout in his joints, and suffered terrible side effects. “About six months ago I had an attack and my doctor prescribed Colchicum and it made me extremely sick after only several days”

Mitchell stopped taking Colchicum because he couldn’t stand the side effects. In desperation, he turned to an herbal supplement, Puricil. “In less than two weeks the pain was gone using Puricil. I have been taking it faithfully ever since with hardly a twinge now,” Mitchell said.

A spokesman for Selmedica Healthcare Corporation said, “Puricil capsules include ingredients that help to foster the elimination of excess uric acid and the lowering of the total uric acid in your body, which promotes relief and prevention of gout and its debilitating symptoms.” For more information about Puricil, visit www.Puricil.com.
