Reverted Revenue: Postcard Company Wins MarCom Creative Awards and Increases Client's Cash Flow

Marketing Division of Inc 500 company shows business savvy, but creativity won them the Gold in the MarCom creative Awards for creating exceptional earnings for client.

PostcardMania decided to show its clever side by sending in one of their works for a client in the title search industry for mortgage lenders and title companies. The client was Source Documents and Information, Inc. (www.sourcedocsinfo.com). The contest required that the applicant demonstrate how they could create an aesthetic work (postcard campaign) that would also get a result for the client.

The stroke of genius was a series of postcards, all drawn cartoon-style that depicted famous comical commercials that were in vogue -- only the punch line for each was the name of their client’s business. The result was remarkable for SDI. After a 16 month crash in the business, SDI went from $80,000 in gross billing per month to over $170,000 per month in just 1.5 years.

“We had to get their (the client’s prospects) attention; the industry was failing, the business was boring and we needed to ensure that the recipient of those cards could identify with our client right away” said Joe Niewierski, PostcardMania’s VP Marketing, “Frankly, it was not an easy task.”

The Gold Award is presented to those entries judged to exceed the high standards of the industry. Out of the 4613 entries from throughout the United and States and several foreign countries, only about 16% of the entries receive this award.
