Malfunction Films Announces New Feature Film Project Malfunction Films has chosen to shoot "Duvantin" as its next feature film production. (PRWEB) March 4, 2006 -- Malfunction Films has announced that its next major project will be the feature length film, “Duvantin,” the story of a man fighting for individuality and freedom in a near-future repressive society.
According to David Barak, founder of Malfunction Films, Duvantin will utilize an unusual and “secret” guerilla-style marketing plan.
“We can’t reveal too much about our plans, for reasons that will become obvious as we hit full stride. Let’s just say you should keep your eyes and ears open,” he said.
Malfunction Films plans to shoot Duvantin in and around the San Diego area, using the latest technology to bring the look of film to digital filmmaking. The Redrock Microsystems M2 lens adapter and accessories will be used to create a 35mm film look while using less expensive digital video equipment.
“Shooting digital will not only allow us to save money, but it’ll also save us a lot of time while reassuring the technical team that what’s captured in the camera is what we’re looking for. We won’t have to wait for film dailies to come back from the lab -- we can get an exact preview on our monitors, and play back the tapes to check the performances and camera moves.”
Malfunction Films is planning to release Duvantin in the fall of 2007.
