Consonus and The Uptime Institute today announced that Consonus will serve as official host of the upcoming Spring 2010 Site Uptime Network® Conference which will be held 28 February through 3 March 2010 at the Hilton Salt Lake City Center.

A knowledge community compromised exclusively of data center owners and operators, The Uptime Institute Site Uptime Network facilitates collaboration between its expert members in the development of benchmarks and best practices--such as those related to security, resiliency, and energy efficiency--that enable industry-wide improvements. The Annual Meetings, which include a data center tour, is the premiere forum for members to exchange knowledge, disseminate and acquire education, and to collaborate for the betterment of the industry.

One specific benefit offered to all Uptime Institute Site Uptime Network members is incident reporting. Should one member organization experience an abnormal situation, an alert is distributed to all members. This serves to identify systemic or specific vulnerabilities so that all members may proactively manage against their recurrence.

As conference host, Consonus will offer attendees a comprehensive tour of the company's South Data Center in Salt Lake City. This narrated tour will highlight the technical details of the Consonus' facility including equipment, electrical and mechanical layouts, and approaches to energy efficiency.

As is the event's tradition, the purpose of the tour is to facilitate a peer review of the data center to help all identify the essential components of world-class excellence in data center design and operation.
