Along with recently released statistics by the US Bureau of Labor Statistics, which show that 12000 legal jobs were outsourced in 2004, a figure estimated to rise to 79000 by 2015, the new developments add momentum to the already swiftly growing field.

Outsourcing has recently become a hot topic in the legal world, garnering lengthy

articles in publications like the Wall Street Journal, Fortune, and the Washington Post. With the increasing number of law firms embracing the new industry, the benefits have become more and more clear. As Eric Bellman wrote in a September 28, 2005 article in the Wall Street Journal, “One lure of the Indian legal market: the sheer number of lawyers it offers.
