Red Scream Films LLC Signs with Captures Entertainment

Red Scream Films LLC announced today that it has signed a production-distribution deal with Captures Entertainment.

Red Scream Films LLC announced today that it has signed a production-distribution deal with Captures Entertainment. Both companies are based in western New York.

“It’s a good match,” said Red Scream CEO David R Williams, “Like us, Captures is a fiercely independent company, they do things their own way and have a never say never attitude. They are doers, not talkers.”

Details of the agreement call for Captures Entertainment to distribute Red Scream’s suspense horror film Prison of the Psychotic Dead, provide finishing funds for a project currently in post-production and provide funding for two more features.

“That’s the bare bones minimum,” said Williams, “depending on the success of the films we do for them, we could do more, at least 3-4 pictures a year.”

Red Scream Films LLC specializes in horror and dark erotica for the domestic and foreign home entertainment and cable television markets. Features are shot on digital video using the lastest in digital camera technology including HD and 24P.

“Video technology has finally reached a point where you can make quality films on video instead of film. I’m sure purists would disagree, but a movie shot on digital at 24P looks as good as anything shot on motion picture film. And there is a whole generation who have grown up on reality television and home videos and who have no qualms about watching something shot on video as opposed to film. If the story is good, if the movie entertains, that is all they care about. And rightly so. You no longer need a million dollars to even think about shooting a quality feature. Prison of the Psychotic Dead proves that.”
