Hightower Realty And D R Horton Slash Prices To Stimulate Orlando Vacation Home Sales

Only two days after Platinum Properties introduce big incentives on Citrus Gardens, D R Horton and Hightower Realty announce combined price cuts of up to $50,000 on Cane Island Resort condos.

Only last week Platinum Properties announced that they were replacing their 4 bed models on Citrus Gardens with 6 bed homes for the same price, resulting in unprecedented value for a new build, cheaper than most equivalent re-sale homes.

Now comes news of massive price cuts from D R Horton, one of the Orlando area's biggest vacation home developers. Cane Island (http://www.hightower-realty.com/cane-island.htm) luxury vacation condominiums, a resort-style community on US192 just a stone's throw from Disney, came off the drawing board and onto the ground a couple of months ago, but as with all new builds buyers have been difficult to pin down.

With completion of the first units scheduled for later this year, the increasing urgency of finding buyers is becoming evident as prices are cut by as much as a staggering $50,000, representing a discount of more than 12% on November's introductory pre-construction pricing.

On top of these discounts, Hightower Realty is offering an additional $10,000 cashback at closing to any of their buyers who contract to buy a condo on Cane Island. D H Horton will also contribute up to $8,000 towards closing costs to buyers who use their in-house financing.

In Hightower Realty's view, The bottom line prices for units at Cane Island must be a sound investment for buyers who believe in the long term value of vacation home investment in Central Florida, and who have the confidence to jump in at a time when most buyers are keeping on the sidelines until the market shows which way it is heading.
