Three Generations to Help Thousands During Upcoming Mother’s Day Season Grandmother, mother, and granddaughter team stay busy on a journey of healing by inspiring and motivating thousands. Their onward and upward voyage continues in unique multi-generational ways. (PRWEB) March 19, 2006 -- Hailed as Elder Grace to Youthful Face, the grandmother Celia Ford, daughter Theresa Allen, and granddaughter Pamela Simonson trio, motivate girls, senior citizens, high school students, families, and women in a special way. Thousands of people who are hurting and in need will hear and read their words of wisdom, wit, and inspirational messages from March through June, demonstrating that these three women have answered a special calling.
The Fort Washington residents did not plan any of this when they sat in Ford’s kitchen a few years ago. It was then that Simonson realized they were 75, 50, and 25 years old. To celebrate, the grandmother, daughter, and granddaughter knew they had to do something other than getting their nails done or going to the Olive Garden.
“It was a moment in time that would never happen again,” stated elder Ford, a retired Registered Nurse and Health Teacher. She was the first one in her school district to teach sex education to hundreds of elementary school children Ford's gentle nature is filled with seasoned wisdom.
“Some people say our journey was destined to happen”, said Simonson, a soprano with the Washington National Opera and Director of Music at a Prince George's elementary school. Allen echoed her daughter’s comments and added,
“We knew something special would happen after we wrote a poem, but had no inkling of how many thousands of people we would touch in a meaningful way.” Allen is Vice President of a local a talent management company in Maryland.
The three generations agreed that the only thing they knew for certain was the journey they had begun was “bigger than themselves”.
Since then they have traveled far. Ford, Allen, and Simonson, who are not professional counselors or therapists, have written an award winning book, Pearls of Wisdom from Three Generations, a collection of family sayings, famous words of wisdom, and affirmations. They frequently quote the profound words in their messages.
In addition, the native New Yorkers pen a weekly advice column, Ask Pearls of Wisdom, touching thousands of people from all backgrounds and ages. Questions range from career counseling and money matters to relationships and abuse. The difference in their advice column from others is they all answer the same question each week, from a unique multi-generational perspective.
“I recently had an epiphany”, said Ford.
“Now I know we are here to touch and move people in a profound and spiritual way," she continued.
“It is especially significant since this journey has happened so late in my life.” Ford is now 78.
Mother’s Day is a special season for the women. The Pearls of Wisdom from Three generations are sought after for mother-daughter events, conferences, conventions, religious groups, and organizations. Their encouraging journey continues to uplift, motivate, and heal --- touching and moving thousands as they move along.
