The National Hot Rod Association and ESPN announced that ESPN Regional Television will produce a series of one-hour shows covering select NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series national events in 2006. ESPN2 and ESPN2 HD will showcase the racing action on a tape-delay basis.

Sportsman racing fans will also be able to see their favorite racers on NHRA2day, NHRA’s newsmagazine that airs each Sunday on ESPN2. Each of the forty-one half-hour programs will run a Sportsman Spotlight segment featuring the NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series.

As this is written, the car is in the staging lanes, for its first qualifying round of 2006, at the 37th Annual NHRA Gatornationals, in Gainesville, Florida.
