Dr. David Brailer Visits Connecticut Hospital

Dr. Brailer will visit the emergency department at New Britain General Hospital while in town to speak at the eHealthCT Summit in Farmington. The hospital recently implemented an electronic health record computer documentation system from Emergency Care Documentation Systems.

New Britain, CT (PRWEB) March 22, 2006 -- Dr. David Brailer is making the rounds in the state of Connecticut this week, including a stop at the state’s largest medical facility, New Britain General Hospital.

In town to speak at the eHealthCT Summit in Farmington on Thursday, Dr. Brailer will be dropping into the emergency department at NBGH to tour the facility, which recently implemented an electronic health record computer documentation system from Emergency Care Documentation Systems (ECDS).

The ECDS system, called EmpowER, is a comprehensive and user-friendly solution for computerizing patient charts, and it has already EmpowERed the New Britain emergency department.

“This product is crucial to our mission of enhancing communication across the continuum of care and reducing cost by avoiding duplication of services,” says Dr. Jeff Finkelstein, emergency department director for NBGH.

A busy ED, New Britain sees approximately 200 patients per day -- a huge volume made easier by computer documentation with the EmpowER System. And Dr. Brailer is coming to see what all the fuss is about.
