New York Central Art Supply Annual Show Returns The Annual Employee show of 100 year-old art supplier, New York Central Art Supply, returns April 17th. Thirty-seven employees will be showing at the National Arts Club, curated by the employees. Show displays the talents of some of the best art advisors in New York City. New York City, NY (PRWEB) March 25, 2006 -- For a third year, New York Central Art Supply will be having their staff show at National Arts Club. Featuring over seventy works by thirty-seven members of staff, the show runs the stylistic gamut; craft based work, conceptual wall sculptures, Rembrandt tradition and comic book panels in fantastical frames to name a few. It is a show that is a post-modern potpourri while firmly in place in the salon tradition. Taking full advantage of the supplies offered by New York Central Art Supply, the artist use gold leaf, Old Holland paint, or specialty paper. There are exquisite corpse from slow summer hours and a year long collage on canvas of abalone, paper, graphite and mica. Diminutive drawings on gampi will be with expansive acrylic paintings.
This show is about the amazing potential of materials. Every one in the show shares knowledge with each other (and customers) and has the same access to supplies. But on reviewing the show, you will find a level of variety that is truly indicative of the potential of raw materials. In the same way that New York Central carries supplies for every level of artist there is something for every one in the staff show.
The show will be at National Arts Club, April 17th-May 1. The National Arts Club is located at 15 Gramercy Park South (20th Street) between Park and Irving Place, on the southwest corner of Gramercy Park.
