Nicola International introduces an exciting new line of perishible deli cup olives and appetizer products for the retail supermarket chains.

Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) March 25, 2006 -- Nicola International of Los Angeles, California has introduced a new line of prepackaged deli cups for the retail supermarket trade. The new line of perishable products includes exotic MEDITEREREAN olives and appetizer spreads packaged using state of the art technology. This process gives the products an extended shelf life ranging from two to six months. The longer shelf life provides less waste for retailers who in the past have had to discard product that went out of date code.

The olives are dry packed without brine and are preservative free. Most olives sold today by retailers are packed in liquid. This represents a significant step forward in the olive category for supermarkets today." Some of the varieties being offered include exotic specialties such as Cajun Style, Moroccan Oil Cured and Kalamata pitted olives. Additionally, Nicola International is packing MEDITEREREAN style appetizers using this new packaging method. Currently, specialty appetizers offered include green olive tapenade, yogurt with shallot dip, baba ghanouj and green olive tapenade with walnut and pomegranate. These varieties appeal to the ever-changing taste of the American consumer.

The new deli cups are scheduled for introduction nationwide over the next six months. Initial retail interest has been strong due to the cost savings associated with the process.
