London, UK (PRWEB) March 26, 2006 -- A new travel and leisure company launches this month offering in-depth short breaks aimed at learning new skills from expert mentors. Altyerre, an aboriginal word meaning ‘dreamtime’, provides an exclusive collection of one-and two-day UK-based breaks covering a wide range of interests including food, wine, fishing, shooting, wildlife and bushcraft. Small groups work hands-on with expert instructors on activities that have been individually conceived, created and tested.
The London-based company is founded by Matthew Pegler, who has a marketing and consultancy background with major corporations such as PepsiCo International and The Coca-Coca Company.
“Whether it’s an escape from work and city life, something different to do with your partner or a small group of friends wanting to get away together, this is a unique new way of gaining a real sense of achievement and personal fulfilment. There is currently no easy way for people to organise these activities themselves, certainly not with the depth, access and private, expert tuition that we are providing. It really is a first of its kind in the U.K. and a ground breaking new approach to short breaks,” says Matthew.
He adds “A short break to learn a new skill alongside an expert mentor can serve to stimulate and inspire us all. It’s also a refreshing approach for forward thinking organisations who might be looking to reward people through respecting their wider lives and by helping to encourage more of a work-life balance.”
