NAMWOLF Calls on the Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation to Consider Minority and Women Owned Law Firms for Engagement in General Motors Pension Matters

The National Association of Minority and Women Owned Law Firms (NAMWOLF) urges the Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation (PBGC) to make sure that minority and women owned law firms have a fair opportunity to compete for its latest solicitation of legal service.

WASHINGTON, DC (PRWEB) March 29, 2006 -- The National Association of Minority and Women Owned Law Firms (NAMWOLF) urges the Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation (PBGC) to make sure that minority and women owned law firms have a fair opportunity to compete for its latest solicitation of legal service.

PBGC, a federal corporation that currently protects the pensions of 44.1 million American workers and retirees in 30,330 private single-employer and multi-employer defined benefit pension plans, is seeking outside lawyers to provide counsel regarding General Motors financial problems, including the prospect of Chapter 11 bankruptcy filing or out-of-court restructuring.
