(NYC) Blue Storm Music announced today the return of the legendary founder of Fleetwood Mac, guitarist Peter Green, to the US for his first major tour in more than thirty years. Green, who left Fleetwood Mac in 1971 to concentrate on using his success to help fund underdeveloped areas of the world, instead found himself hospitalized and being treated with electric shock therapy to "cure" him. The end result was more than twenty years of musical inactivity until 1996.
The tour begins April 30th in New York and will continue across the US before finishing in Vancouver on May 16th.
Few people today can hear Black Magic Woman" without thinking of Santana yet it is one of many songs written by Peter Green. Peter Green was inducted into the Rock And Roll Hall of Fame as a member of Fleetwood Mac and the only Brit ever to win a Handy Award, Green won for "Best Blues Album, in 1998
