
The County Line Restaurant to Kick-off its 2010 Free Live Music Series on March 10 Series reaches 10-year-anniversary has raised more than 476,500 pounds of food for the San Antonio Food Bank San Antonio, TX (Vocus) March 2, 2010 The popular Live Music Series at The County Line, benefiting the San Antonio Food Bank, will return to the stage on Wednesday, March 10, 2010. Now on its 10th year, the music series has featured some of the very best Texas and national country musicians such as Cory Morrow, Randy Rogers, Jason Boland, Roger Creager, Wade Bowen, Pat Green, Aaron Watson, Radney Foster, Kevin Fowler, Bleu Edmondson and many more. The free music concerts benefiting the San Antonio Food Bank will be held every Wednesday night from 6:30 – 10 p.m. from March 10 through October 13 at The County Line Bar-B-Q restaurant at 10101 IH-10 West (between the Wurzbach and Huebner Road exits, near the Colonnade). Held on the restaurant's open-air patio, the opening act comes on at 6:30 p.m.; the headliner plays from 8 – 10 p.m. Concerts are held rain or shine. The live music series is free; however, all who attend are asked to make a food or monetary donation to the San Antonio Food Bank. The 2009 music series raised more than 35,775 pounds of food for the Food Bank. “We are so excited to celebrate our tenth anniversary of this free music series started by Randy Goss as a great way to support Texas musicians, and bring much needed help to the San Antonio Food Bank," says Skeeter Miller, owner/president (dishwasher, cook, host, etc….), County Line. “And yes, no one can replace the Rib King—he was bigger than life—but one thing we can do is keep this great music series going that he loved so much...and that's what we are going to do!” “As we continue to serve more families in need, we count on The County Line and its Live Music Series to help us meet that demand,” says Eric Cooper, executive director, San Antonio Food Bank. “We have more than doubled the number of people we are helping with emergency food assistance since 2006, and we couldn’t do that without the support of the community and The County Line.” The County Line continually updates the concert line-up on its website at http://www.countyline.com/schedule_I10.asp; call 210-641-1998 for more information.
