Tenerife Dream Property

It seems that the property market is experiencing a boom time in the Canary Islands. As British house prices soar ever upwards, people are increasingly looking to Tenerife for the second home of their dreams and are snapping up the wealth of property bargains to be found there.

(PRWEB) April 7, 2006 -- According to local estate agents the combination of superb weather and relatively cheap house prices are attracting foreign buyers like never before. Speaking from his office in Tenerife’s Los Cristianos estate agent Jeremy Blundle said: “there has been a steady rise in British people investing in a second home over the last three years. The low prices and favourable interest rates are attracting a large number of people who are looking for a dream home in the sun.

Many of our clients are purchasing one and two bedroom properties in the popular tourist areas and are renting them out as holiday lets as well as coming and spending their vacation time in the apartments”.

According to Mr Blundle there is also a buoyant market for higher end houses and villas: “a lot of our wealthier clients are giving up their cottages in the Cotswolds and are putting their money into nice villas with pools. Quite often these properties lie empty for most of the year but people are still keen to snap up the sunshine home of their dreams in Tenerife. The majority of this type of client are in their mid to late fifties and express plans to move here full time when they eventually retire”.

For those with Tenerife dreams in their heads there is a wide range of property for sale with one and two bedroom apartments starting at about 100,000€ right up to the luxurious villas that can fetch anything up to several million.
