New Website for Parents of Children with Autism: AnAutismStory.com Launches

"An Autism Story," www.AnAutismStory.com, is a unique new website that’s been created for parents by parents.

Morris, IL (PRWEB) April 7, 2006 -- "An Autism Story," www.AnAutismStory.com, is a unique new website that’s been created for parents by parents. The site contains weekly articles written to help parents of autistic children find resources in their local areas, get financial assistance through creative means, start local support groups, and cope with various parenting challenges. The content is informative, but not simply duplicated from the other Autism sites on the web. This site is unique in that it addresses parents’ needs and helps solve unique problems such as finding a suitable dentist for your autistic child, tips on having professional portraits taken, and taking a family vacation.

The site creator, Karen Ferrero, is passionate about both Autism and the Internet. She has built her career upon such companies as Netscape, America Online and Sun Microsystems. Ms. Ferrero is currently an engagement manager with Cisco Systems. She is the mother of two boys, ages two and four. Her four year-old son was diagnosed with autism at the age of 23 months. AnAutismStory.com grew out of her desire to help and learn from other parents.
