A New Kind of Email is Available: EarMail – “Email That Works Like Voicemail” Beginning today, a new email service is available to anyone who owns a telephone, called EarMail. Martin & Associates (Canton, OH) claims that they have produced an e-mail system so user-friendly that “even your parents can use it”. According to the company, EarMail is not like a traditional e-mail application that uses a screen or keyboard, but rather an audible system that reads e-mail text aloud and allows you to reply to e-mail messages with a voice recording. All of this is done over the phone, with no special software or technical skills; and you can use your existing e-mail account. Canton, OH (PRWEB) April 9, 2006 Beginning today, a new email service is available to anyone who owns a telephone, called EarMail. “It works like voicemail,” said Brian Martin, one of three Co-Founders of Martin & Associates. “Last summer, I spent a majority of my days driving between job sites. People were asking me how I responded so quickly to their e-mail messages. Of course, I told them that it was EarMail.” The company currently offers two levels of service: Free EarMail, and Premium EarMail. Free EarMail is free to users, but only reads the first 100 words of each email. “This should be sufficient for most users,” said Philip Bell, a company Co-Founder. “It is geared for those who want to quickly check for new e-mail messages from the road, or who simply want to try out the service.” Premium EarMail is the pay service that reads entire e-mails and allows users to reply by voice. According to Donny Bell, the third company Co-Founder, “We are expecting that some Free EarMail users will tire of listening to only the first 100 words or will want the reply feature. They may be willing to pay the $5 monthly fee for Premium.” How does EarMail work? A user calls a toll-free EarMail phone number, enters a four-digit personal identification number, and immediately listens to their first e-mail message. Then, users are given voicemail-like options. The company says that they can accommodate any existing e-mail account that has “Pop3” capability. Martin added, “This includes most major email providers like Roadrunner, AOL, CompuServe, and Gmail. If you are unsure that your email provider is ‘Pop3 compliant’, contact them or visit our website (http://www.myearmail.com).” Martin & Associates is a consulting firm located in Canton, Ohio, specializing in database applications and entrepreneurial consulting. Other company projects include telephone real estate hotlines, logistical databases, and startup consulting for Ohio Airships, Inc., makers of the Dynalifter hybrid aircraft.
