Standardized Software
appCORE is a standardization product for software systems. Like the International Building Codes for the construction industry, appCORE defines components and methods to build software systems, leaving less to chance. appCORE embodies a structural approach to building software systems by defining a process, threading, and messaging architecture and how these elements work together. appCORE's design patterns can be applied to a wide class of software systems.

appCORE is an answer to the myriad problems created by ad-hoc designs and the high development and maintenance costs they incur. The business goal of appCORE is simple: enable the creation of software products in less time and for a lower cost compared to ad-hoc methods. The technical goal of appCORE is more ambitious: provide a standardized approach to building multi-threaded software systems on multicore processors that can be leveraged over and over again. With new multicore processors containing ever more cores, the ad-hoc approach to software system design is no longer viable.

Product
appCORE is a Ready-To-Run, ANSI 'C' SDK, based on a Serial Dispatch Queue architecture. This architecture is the foundation for reliable, lock-free, multi-threaded applications. An elegant Multicore Dispatcher extends this to multicore processors. The product consists of an ANSI 'C' SDK, run-able application templates, sample applications, comprehensive on-line documentation, and a command line build system. Multiple platform support includes Windows, LINUX, Solaris, and Mac OS-X. Future releases are planned for Wind River's VxWorks and Green Hill's INTEGRITY operating systems.
