San Francisco Earthquake Anniversary See extrememly wide panorama photos of the damage, walk the self guided tour, hire a guide, or sync downloadable audios to your iPod or burn a CD. It's all at www.quirkysf.com San Francisco, CA (PRWEB) April 11, 2006 -- If you're a San Francisco local or a visitor, you'll want to take advantage of some part of this entry in a blog at www.quirkysf.com, hosted by Randy Schroeder, local resident.
He's listed links to photos of the damage - kind of a 1906 virtual tour. He's also pointed out the fact that the city has embedded in the sidewalks, directional markers of the entire Barbary Coast walking tour. You can hire a guide, download a map, buy a book, or (coming this month) download audio tours (kind of a podcast) that you can sync onto your iPod. Or you can burn them onto a CD.
The entire trip is a little over 3 miles and could take an entire day, if you linger at each stop, or you can do a portion this time and save some for another time.
All the links are at www.quirkysf.com for your convenience.
Randy also has a growing collection of other quirky, off-the-beaten-path, fun things to do in San Francisco. Many are free, some require planning ahead, but they're all worth a look.
San Francisco is about diversity at every level, and Randy has managed to pull together some very interesting things to do. With the help of his blog, you'll find yourself saying, "Guess what we did in San Francisco?"
