Taking off on a “girls getaway” has become increasingly popular for women of all ages. To help women plan their next girls-only trip, Girlaway.com offers reviews, tips and advice for destinations, spas, hotels and restaurants.

Austin, Texas (PRWEB) April 13, 2006 -- Taking off on a “girls getaway” has become increasingly popular for women of all ages. A lot of women see this as a way to relax, have fun and reinforce bonds with sisters, daughters or girl friends. Many hotels, spas and resorts have recognized this trend and have created packages and specials specifically for girls getaways.

To help women plan their next girls-only trip, Girlaway.com offers reviews, tips and advice for destinations, spas, hotels and restaurants. “We feature places and activities that appeal primarily to women traveling together”, said Rhonda Hostetler, founder of Girlaway.com. “Our daily features cover a wide range of topics from charming escape towns, to more urban resorts.”

Hostetler says she discovered a need for the web site when she was planning her own getaways. “I realized that other women could benefit from the research and planning I’d done for trips and that they might appreciate having a resource that pulls it all together in one place.” She adds, “So far the response has been very positive.”

For the Girlaway.com founder, girl trips have been a tradition since she graduated from college. She and her three sisters, who live in 4 different states from coast to coast, choose a different place for each get-together. The site also benefits from her personal experiences on these trips over the past 20 years.

Prior to starting Girlaway.com, Hostetler spent a number of years at Microsoft developing travel related software such as MapPoint, Encarta World Atlas and Streets and Trips.
