Springfield, MO (PRWEB) April 12, 2006 -- The Internet-based travel company Vacations Made Easy announced this week the unveiling of a new program aimed at making the vacation dreams of a family in need come true. The new program allows families or their friends to submit a story describing extreme situations that have significantly impacted the family – and kept them from enjoying the relaxation and bonding experience that vacations allow. Site visitors to the company’s Web site, http://www.vacationsmadeeasy.com, will be able to read the submissions and vote for the family they feel is most deserving of the dream vacation. At the end of the voting period, the family whose story receives the most votes will be awarded a dream vacation to their choice of 30 destinations in North America.

The program is designed so that friends of the family may nominate the family for consideration as well. In addition, submissions may be updated by the registered user throughout the duration of the program to keep readers informed of any changes to the family’s situation. The “Believe in Dreams” program is currently accepting submissions. The deadline will be May 31, 2006, and voting will take place by site visitors from June 1 until June 30. The selected family will be announced on July 3, pending verification of the story details.

Inspiration for the Believe in Dreams program came after Vacations Made Easy was featured in an episode of Maury, one of the television’s longest-running daytime talk shows, on April 7, 2006. The company donated an all-expenses paid vacation to a family on the show whose baby daughter was nearly killed in an accident. The medical bills and worry during the young girl’s long recovery has prevented the couple of taking a honeymoon or family vacation together, but now will be flying to Orlando, Florida for a week-long Walt Disney World vacation. Vacations Made Easy was delighted to be part of helping a deserving family’s vacation dreams come true, and decided to develop and implement the program.

Full guidelines and details of the program are available on the company’s Web site at http://www.vacationsmadeeasy.com/believeInDreams/index.cfm. For additional information, contact Matt Cook at (417) 823-0981 or by e-mail at mcook @ vacationsmadeeasy.com.
