Santa Ana, CA (PRWEB) March 12, 2010 As the economic environment begins to recover, there’s a tendency for many to return to business as usual. And though much is still uncertain about the future of the economy at this point, entrepreneur and philanthropist Mouli Cohen believes it would be a big mistake to return to the status quo. “The economic crisis represents a point to reset emotionally, socially, and economically. Individuals and firms who understand this will move forward and prosper, those who don’t will be left behind,” Cohen said in an interview today. “A number of companies are focusing on lean manufacturing to eliminate waste, and some financially strong companies are investing in automation to reduce labor costs,” Cohen said. “I think the marketplace is going to be savvier and more particular than ever.” Customers are going to demand high-quality products and services with creative solutions that help them achieve their own vision, he said. “There are good opportunities to grow by acquisition for companies that have cash, access to good management, and a solid realistic strategy,” Cohen said. “Every business is more concerned with expenses and will continue to be cautious about spending money on indirect costs like administrative or managerial expenses.” Navigating an enterprise through uncertain times is about getting back to fundamentals, Cohen says in conclusion. “That goes for innovation, too – innovation is about growth, and growth takes creativity, empathy, and smooth execution. Empathy is a shared intuition for what people outside the company need and value. Creativity is the ability to come up with new ideas that are different and distinct. And execution, of course, is about getting things done.” About Mouli Cohen
