That's the track record of D.I.B. Pictures Entertainment LLC, founded by Bivas Biswas who won the Best Director award at IFP/Phoenix 2006 and the most promising filmmaker award at the International Horror/Sci-Fi Film Festival 2005.

Phoenix, Araz. (PRWEB) April 18, 2006 -- Over the last year, D.I.B. Pictures Entertainment, LLC has consistently turned in award winning films, beginning with “First Date” which premiered at the Almost Famous Film Festival 2005 and won the award for Best Film along with awards for acting and story. First Date made its online premiere at ifilm and shot up the charts to become the 3rd most popular comedy, being placed among the top 150 films on the site.

D.I.B’s film “APT. 3157”, a short thriller about a precognitive renter seeing her own murder, won the Most Promising Filmmaker award for Director Biswas. International Horror and Sci-Fi Film Festival Director, Brian Pulido called “APT. 3157”, “…a short worth seeing”.

D.I.B.’s next film, “Pour Amour, Pourquoi”, which completed production earlier this year, competed with 56 other short films winning the award for Best Film, for the second year in a row, at the Almost Famous Film Festival 2006, along with awards for story, acting and cinematography. In the March 2006 issue of Midtown Messenger, David Tell, Editor and Publisher, applauds Bivas Biswas and team for their filmmaking efforts.

D.I.B.’s latest picture, “Reason” premiered at the IFP/Phoenix during the 2006 Phoenix Film Festival and won the award of Best Director for Biswas, along with Best Editing and Best Film.

The team at D.I.B. Pictures Entertainment is headed by writer/producer/director Bivas Biswas. His roles in the making of over 30 short films in the last 4 years have encompassed writer, director, producer, actor, director of photography, music composer and editor. Besides being a filmmaker, Mr. Biswas is a software engineer working in the avionics and aerospace-defense industry.

Behind the lens is award winning Director of Photography, Earnest Robinson, lead producer and director for Earnest Productions, LLC. Sketching out stories that have touched audiences all over the valley is the two time award winning writer Serena Torres-Webbe, the great granddaughter of Alice Guy Blache' who has been attributed to be the first female director in the motion picture industry. Two key members who oversee all aspects of production are Valec Martinez who works for the largest semiconductor industry in the world and Executive Producer Ann Pattison-Bingham. Ann brings to the table her 18 year corporate experience as a Vice President, along with her interest in stage and screen.

Currently, the team is working on a feature length comedy-drama written by John Roffmann, portraying different types of relationships and their end result. The script is ready to go into production and the team at D.I.B. is actively seeking partners to complete funding for the project.
