Gris Grimly’s 'Wicked Nursery Rhymes II', new from Baby Tattoo Books, April 15th, 2006 — the new illustrated collection of demented rhymes and cautionary tales.

Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) April 22, 2006 -- It’s the book everyone is still talking about…but it’s the next one, the same tales being read to the kiddies after all the years, with the new collection of demented rhymes and cautionary tales, just as the first volume. Gris Grimly’s Wicked Nursery Rhymes II, new from Baby Tattoo Books, April 15th, 2006.

As the first book, Gris Grimly’s entertaining collection unveils eight all new, fiendishly illustrated cautionary tales exploring the dark underbelly of childhood. Childhood standards, including Little Jack Horner, Peter Pumpkin Eater, Humpty Dumpty and Three Blind Mice, are retold as dark and sinister rhymes about atrociously mannered children who meet particularly unpleasant fates. Fans of Edward Gorey and Ronald Dahl will feel right at home among Gris Grimly's misbehavers. Gris' extraordinary vision will deliciously haunt the imaginations of adults and alternative kids alike. Baby Tattoo gives Mother Goose a fright with Gris Grimly's Wicked Nursery Rhymes II by Gris Grimly, Things with a dark underbelly, witty humor and cobwebs

Wicked Nursery Rhymes II is available for retail, April 15th, 2006. Gris Grimly will also be introducing Wicked Nursery Rhymes II at the June 2006 San Diego Comic Con. Gris Grimly’s first Wicked Nursery Rhymes made its debut at the San Diego Comic Con in July of 2003. The book was an immediate success and continues to be one of Baby Tattoo’s best selling titles.

Gris Grimly's Wicked Nursery Rhymes II has been chosen to appear on the Book Sense 2006 Summer Children's Picks List (but parent's should beware of its wickedness).
