Brain Murmurs Announces Support for Visual Numerics' JMSL Libraries

JIVA Grid Computing System now provides embedded support for JMSL-enabled applications.

Seattle, WA (PRWEB) April 29, 2006 -- Brain Murmurs, Inc, a Seattle-based software research and development company, today announced that the JIVA Grid Computing System now provides support for applications based on the JMSL libraries from Visual Numerics.

"This move will allow current users of the JMSL libraries to parallelize their existing applications through the use of JIVA. The JIVA client can be installed as a screen saver or background process on Windows, OS X, Linux and UNIX operating systems. When the computer is idle, the client runs solver code provided by the JIVA server to perform naturally parallel jobs such as 3D rendering or protein folding. JIVA was used by Giant Campus during the summer of 2005 and has been running for over a year on a 50-machine network at Cardiologists of Lubbock.

The JMSL Libraries are Visual Numerics’ Java version of their IMSL Libraries. The IMSL Numerical Libraries have been the cornerstone of high-performance and deep computing as well as predictive analytics applications in science, technical and business environments for well over three decades.
