About a year ago Rickie R. an award winning poet and artist laid the ground work to promote and archive the best in southern cal poetry. An agreement with Lights of theatre at the historic spurgeon bld. in santa ana led to a hip venue without the commercialism and uncomfortability accompianing coffee conventions.

Today hundreds enjoy the passionate and pure words that "be and not mean" on a weekly basis.
