Hero of “Black Hawk Down” to Keynote at MASH 2006

The International Microelectronics And Packaging Society (IMAPS) is pleased to announce that Colonel Danny McKnight, ground forces commander during the battle in Mogadisu depicted in the movie “Black Hawk Down,” will be the Keynote Speaker at the MASH 2006 Topical Workshop in Washington, D.C., June 6-8, 2006.

The International Microelectronics And Packaging Society (IMAPS) is pleased to announce that Colonel Danny McKnight, ground forces commander during the battle in Mogadisu depicted in the movie “Black Hawk Down,” will be the Keynote Speaker at the MASH 2006 Topical Workshop in Washington, D.C., June 6-8, 2006.

MASH (Military, Aerospace, Space and Homeland Security) 2006 will have more than 28 technical presentations on the latest technologies that help make these vital parts of our country’s defense and space programs work efficiently.

There will also be a special “Keynote Needs” address by David Berteau, former Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense, targeting, “Manufacturing Trends in Electronic Interconnect Technology." Other prominent presentations will be made by: Michael Sampson, who will discuss NASA’s vision for future packaging requirements; David Robinson, who will address methods for device emulation from the Defense Logistics Agency; and Kwok Tom of the US Army Research Laboratory, who will initiate the Workshop.

A Tabletop Exhibition is also offered highlighting some of the applications of these technologies.
